Israel has received two more F-35I Adir stealth fighter jets at the Nevatim Airbase in Southern Israel Monday.
“Today, the Israeli Air Force welcomed a pair of new Adir F-35Is at the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel. These planes joined the Golden Eagle Squadron and will defend Israel’s skies,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement Monday.
With this delivery, the inventory of the fifth-generation fighter aircraft with Israel Air Force is 14 since December 2016. Israel has agreed to buy 50 F-35s from the United States and are scheduled to be delivered by 2024.
The IAF last received three of these aircraft in June this year.
