Russia Claims 'massive air strikes,' Ukraine Says it Shot Down 60 of 80 Missiles

Russian air force struck a massive blow to the military command and control system, defense complex facilities and related energy facilities of Ukraine on December 5, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov at a briefing today.
According to him, the goal of the strike has been achieved, all designated targets have been hit. A representative of the Russian defense ministry announced the results of the strike - the work of Ukrainian defense industry enterprises was interrupted , rail transportation of military equipment for the enemy was disrupted, and the transfer of reserves to the combat areas was hindered.
Konashenkov also reported on the successful offensive of Russian troops in two directions - Krasnolimansk and Donetsk, and reported the destruction of a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter.

"Over the past day, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on critical and civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. Residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and other regions of our country came under fire," the General Staff said via its Telegram channel.
In particular, the enemy launched 80 Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-22, Kh-59, Kh-31P and Kalibr missiles on the territory of Ukraine. In total, the air defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 60 enemy missiles.
In particular, over the past day, the enemy launched 17 airstrikes and 38 MLRS attacks.
