U.A.E.'s LAHAB, Indonesia's PT Pindad Sign Defense Manufacturing and Supply Agreement

EDGE Group entity LAHAB, the U.A.E.’s sole ammunition manufacturer, and Indonesia’s PT Pindad have signed an agreement to explore defense manufacturing collaboration and supply defense equipment.

The companies signed Head of Agreement to explore collaborative opportunities in establishing defense manufacturing capabilities, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to supply defense equipment.

Under the Head of Agreement, signed in the presence of Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, at the Indonesia-U.A.E. Business Week 2024 in Bali, LAHAB will explore opportunities to enhance industrial collaboration between the two defense industries. According to the MoU, LAHAB will supply defense equipment for production purposes to PT Pindad.

These agreements are part of an effort between both countries to bolster the capabilities of the Indonesian defense industry and increase bilateral trade to $10 billion by 2030 under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
