Oshkosh Defense Secures $214.8M Order for U.S. Army Tactical Vehicles

Oshkosh Defense has received multiple orders from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal for Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle A2 (FMTV A2) trucks and trailers, valued at $214.8 million.

The orders include the first Low Velocity Air Drop (LVAD) vehicles, designed for rapid deployment in contested environments.

The FMTV A2 LVAD underwent airdrop testing in 2024, demonstrating its capability to support airborne operations. Oshkosh Defense officials emphasized the vehicle's role in improving mobility, payload capacity, and operational efficiency. The company has received orders for over 3,000 FMTV A2s since 2018 and expects a contract extension in 2025.
