The Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation has selected the BAE Systems Insyte Sting Ray Mod 1 lightweight torpedo to meet the requirements of its Norwegian Anti-submarine Torpedo (NAT) programme. Defense Ministry of Canada, today announced that the Government of Canada awarded a contract to Raytheon Canada Limited of Calgary, Alberta, to overhaul, repair and upgrade the Canadian Navy’s Phalanx Close-In Weapon Systems (CIWS). Sweden: BAE Systems has been awarded a US $50 million contract from the Canadian navy to upgrade the 57 mm guns of its 12 Halifax-class patrol frigates from the Mk2 to Mk3 configuration.
