Elbit Systems To Supply DIRCM Systems For An Asian Army's Blackhawk Helicopters

Elbit Systems has won a contract from an Asian customer to provide the mini MUSIC IR MWS based Directional Infrared Counter Measures (DIRCM) systems for the Customer’s Blackhawk helicopters.

The contract will be performed this year and is in an amount that is not material to Elbit Systems, according to the company's press release.

Adi Dar, general manager of Elbit Systems said, “In addition to being selected by a new customer, this contract represents the inclusion of a new platform, the Blackhawk, to the broad portfolio of platforms already equipped with our unique DIRCM systems, including our MUSIC version for small platforms such as helicopters.”

The Black Hawk helicopters are operational in Asian countries like Taiwan, China and Brunei.
