ENAER, Finmeccanica-Alenia Aermacchi Sign MoU For C-27J, M-345 HET Logistics Support

The ENAER Chile and Italy's Finmeccanica-Alenia Aermacchi have signed Memorandum of Understanding in the logistical support of medium tactical transport aircraft C-27J, and the new M-345 HET (High Efficiency Trainer).

The MoU was signed under the first visit to Chile Defence Minister Italy, Roberta Pinotti, the company announced in its press release on Friday.

New HET is the latest solution for instruction Alenia basic-advanced military pilots. The M-345 is a plane HET basic training and advanced display features front display (HUD), three multifunctional digital display systems and controls HOTAS (Hands On throtle-And Stick or type controls the throttle and joystick), art powerplant and competitive costs of acquisition and operation.

It is the result of a partnership between Alenia Aermacchi and the General Secretary of Defense Italian Ministry of Defence signed in June 2013, according to which both parties undertook to define operational requirements of a basic trainer aircraft and advanced last generation.

Based on the experience of the S-211 / M-311, it is scheduled to enter service in late 2017.
