UTC Aerospace Systems To Supply 10 Virginia-Class Submarines Components To Newport Shipbuilding

UTC Aerospace Systems has announced that it has signed an agreement with Newport News Shipbuilding to provide composite components for the next 10 Virginia Class nuclear attack submarines, collectively referred to as Block IV. 

The agreements cover deliveries through 2020 to the shipbuilder. The composite components include the bow dome and rubber boot, along with a variety of external fairing structures. As the supplier of submarine bow domes for the Virginia Class program for over 10 years, EPP continues to demonstrate world class quality performance while meeting delivery schedule and cost commitments.

Work will be performed by the Engineered Polymer Products (EPP) team.  Newport News Shipbuilding is a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII).
