CAE has won a $7.5 million contract to replace visual system and to provide simulator update for supporting aircrew training on the Royal Canadian Air Force's CH-146 Griffon helicopters.

Using simulators for training lowers the RCAF’s operational costs, offers a safe and secure learning environment, and reduces necessary flying hours for training thereby increasing the longevity of the fleet for operational use.

By 2025, the RCAF will have a simulation-focused training system which will optimize how pilots achieve and maintain readiness by taking advantage of advances in both technology and training methods.
