DynCorp International (DI) has won a $45 million contract from the US Army to provide multi-platform vehicle support services to the Iraqi Army.

This contract with one-year options has a total potential value of $139.3 million, the company announced Monday.

"We have proudly served alongside US forces in Iraq since 2003,” Randy Bockenstedt, DynLogistics senior vice president.

“We are honoured to be able to provide these multi-platform vehicle support services to help advice and assist the Iraqi Army at this important time in their continuing development.” Bockenstedt added.

Through this contract, the company will help increase the competence of Iraqi Army maintenance personnel in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs.

DI team members will use their expertise to educate Iraqi Army maintenance personnel on proper techniques and procedures to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs independently.
