AM General Wins $735M Order for Humvees

AM General LLC, South Bend, Ind., was awarded on Sept. 24, 2008, a $734,983,443 firm fixed price contract for 4,853 High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicles to contract. Work will be performed in Mishawaka, Mich., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2009. One bid was solicited and one bid was received. TACOM, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).
