Russian Helicopters will continue to provide maintenance of TV3-117 engines, VR-252 gearboxes, AI-9 power plants and on-board equipment for Ka-32 helicopters flown by South Korean operators.

Maintenance work will be client-certified in compliance with South Korean regulations, Russian Helicopters announced today.

The decision was taken during a visit of a delegation from South Korea’s Civil Aviation Authority and Heli Korea to Russian Helicopters Aviation Repair Plant in Russia.

The Ka-32 is a special designation medium transport helicopter with coaxial rotors, twin turboshaft engines and fixed landing gear. The Ka-32 is a commercial version of the Ka-27PS search-and-rescue helicopter developed by the Kamov Design Bureau.

Since 1985 Ka-32 helicopters have been in serial production at the Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, a Russian Helicopters company.
