Russian Aircraft Return To Syrian Base After Turkey Shoots Down Unidentified Drone
Turkey shoots down unidentified drone

Russian aircraft including drones operating in Syria have returned to the base after Turkey shot down an unidentified drone near the border.

"Today, an aerial vehicle of unknown nationality was detected inside our airspace on the Syrian border," a statement posted on the Turkish General Staff’s official website read, Hurriyet news daily reported earlier today.

"When it continued its movement despite being warned three times, our aircraft on patrol mission on the border fired and shot down the vehicle.”

Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation said that all planes grew. formations of Syria after performing combat missions returned to Hmejmim airbase.
