US Transportation Command Awards Multiple Contracts Worth $968 Million

Twelve companies have been awarded contracts worth $968 million for international ocean transportation and intermodal distribution services through US Transportation Command.

The contractors are: American President Lines LTD Inc, awarded an estimated $257 million; Maersk Line LTD, awarded an estimated $227 million; Matson Navigation Co. Inc, awarded an estimated $95 million; Hapag-Lloyd USA LLC, awarded an estimated $92 million; American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier LLC, awarded an estimated $66 million; Farrell Lines Inc, awarded an estimated $64 million; Liberty Global Logistics LLC, awarded an estimated $55 million; Totem Ocean Trailer Express Inc, awarded an estimated $30 million; Central Gulf Lines Inc, awarded an estimated $24 million; TransAtlantic Lines, awarded an estimated $20 million; Sea Star Line LLC, awarded an estimated $20 million; and Young Brothers LTD, awarded an estimated $18 million, the US Department of Defense announced Wednesday.

Work will be performed worldwide as specified on each individual order and is expected to be completed Feb. 28, 2017.
