Rolls-Royce Wins $77 Million Contract For Saudi Arabia C-130J Engines

The US Department of Defense awarded a contract worth $77 million to Rolls-Royce to supply engines for Saudi Arabia’s C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.

This contract which involves foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia is to provide 24 AE2100D3 commercial engines for C-130J aircraft, the statement said Wednesday.

Rolls-Royce will perform work at Indianapolis, Indiana, and an estimated completion date is Dec. 31, 2016.

The US firm was also awarded a US Air Force contract worth $76 million for C-130J propulsion system sustainment.

Contractor will provide logistics support, program management support, engineering services, spares, and technical data in support of the C‐130J propulsion system. Work is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2017, the statement added.
