British Special Forces troops are using Bollywood music to fight Daesh troops in Libya, as the terrorist group has banned music in several territories that they have control over, believing the music to be un-religious and a dangerous influence.

On the advice of a Pakistani-born British Army Intelligence officer Special Forces troops with the Special Boat Service (SBS), the use of Bollywood music is not just to 'annoy' the militia, but to study the exact location and strength of Daesh forces, Sputnik reported.

The British Special Forces troops based in Libya are there in a non-combat role, primarily to train local forces in the region. In one incident they are reported to have used this 'passive' means of tackling militia forces on the outskirts of the Libyan city of Sirte. With the help of Libyan forces two cars were left at the checkpoint outside of the city and at dawn remote controls were used to blare Bollywood music from the cars' speakers.

It was previously alleged that the United States of America used theme tunes from children's TV shows such as Barney and Sesame Street as a form of torture on Prisoners of War.
