Airborne Systems Awarded $99 Million For RA-1 Advanced Ram Air Parachute For US Army
Military Freefall Advanced Ram Air Parachute System (MFF ARAPS) RA-1

Airborne Systems has been awarded a $99 million contract to purchase the RA-1 Advanced Ram air parachute system and spare parts.

The contract is scheduled with an estimated completion date of April 12, 2016, the US Department of Defense said in a statement Tuesday.

Bids were solicited via the Internet with one received.  Funding and work location will be determined with each order.  Army Contracting Command, Natick, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
