Bell-Boeing is being awarded a $544 million modification Lot 17-21 multi-year contract for the long lead production materials and the manufacture and delivery of four MV-22 tiltrotor aircraft for Japan.
The contract also includes incorporation of an engineering change proposal for the standby flight display. Work will be performed at various other locations inside and outside the U.S. and is expected to be completed in May 2020, the US department of defense said in a statement Tuesday.
Foreign military sales funds in the amount of $302,913,946 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
