Two Chinese JH-7 Aircraft Bombers To Participate In Russia’s Aviadarts Contest

A JH-7 fighter bomber of the Chinese PLA Air Force is taking part in the Aviadarts competition of the International Army Games 2016 held in Ryazan region, Russia starting this week.

Two JH-7 fighter bombers and one IL-76MD transport aircraft of the PLA Air Force arrived in Novosibirsk on the morning of July 24 and left on July 25 for the live-fire training, China Military Online reported.

The adaptive live-fire training is divided into four groups of fighters, bombers, long-range aviation and helicopters. All teams are required to get familiar with the airport, airspace, targets in the shooting range and other competition environment, and to verify flight equipment and understand flight procedures.

The JH-7 fighter bombers of the PLA Air Force attended the training in the bomber group, each of which was loaded with one aerial bomb and eight rocket projectiles as required in the contest. 

After the end of the adaptive training, Aviadarts contest will enter the official race stage. The visual reconnaissance and aerobatics competition courses will be held on the morning of August 3 in Russia.

Advanced Russian-made Su-34, Su-35, MiG-29 fighter jets and Mi-24 and Ka-52 helicopters will also demonstrate their performance and skills in the contest. In addition, Belarusian Mi-8 and Su-25 jets will also be present.
