US Navy Awards $1 Billion Contracts For Cyberspace, Research And Tech Integration

The US Navy has picked seven companies to provide cyberspace science, research, engineering and technology integration.

The seven companies being awarded include Raytheon, Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, Science Applications International, Scientific Research Corp and Vencore.  The total value of the contracts is worth apporximately $1 billion.

Support includes technology assessment, development and transition; requirements analysis; systems engineering; operational and technical support; experimentation support; hardware and software development and prototyping; modeling and simulation; training; and security engineering/cybersecurity, US Department of defense said in a statement Friday.

All awardees will have the opportunity to compete for task orders during the ordering period. These three-year contracts include one two-year option ordering period.

13 offers were received and seven were selected for award.  Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific is the contracting activity.
