Iran’s Army Ground Force unveiled three sniper rifles and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during a large-scale military exercise held along the coasts of Makran on Monday.

At the drill, codenamed “Muhammad Rasulullah-4”, the Ground Forces unveiled Taher, a homegrown sniper that has a maximum range of 1,200 meters, an upgraded and modified versions of G-1 and Dragunov sniper rifles, Tasnim news agency reported.

The army also introduced a 4-kilogram reconnaissance drone ‘Farpad’ with the flight endurance of 45 minutes and a range of 20 kilometers, in addition to a drone jammer, a portable electronic device used for deflecting the hostile flying objects.

An operator can personally perform jamming by locking the jammer on the enemy’s drone, disrupt its operation or even hack the aircraft and force it to land safely, according to the report.

On second day of the drill, a new version of homegrown interceptor missiles ‘Toofan’ was also tested from a helicopter.
