Antonov AN-132 Aircraft To Achieve EU Certification

Ukraine's Antonov-manufactured aircraft will be achieving EU certification, Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure announced Monday.

Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said at a briefing that relevant documents were signed Monday.

"This was one of the important documents for the certification of Antonov-made aircraft in the EU and worldwide", Omelyan was quoted as saying by Ekonomichna Pravda Monday.

Ukraine's Antonov on December 20 unveiled the first prototype of a new An-132 transport aircraft.

Ukraine's top officials, President Petro Poroshenko and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov, attended the aircraft roll-out in Kyiv. The ceremony was also attended by top management of Ukraine's Ukroboronprom and Antonov design bureau.
