Lockheed Martin Wins Engineering Support Services Contract For Japan’s F-35 Fighters

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a foreign military sales contract to provide hardware and engineering services for Japanese F-35 Lightening II Joint Strike Fighters.

“Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $9,533,512 not-to-exceed, undefinitized modification to a previously awarded low-rate initial production Lot 9 F-35 Lightening II Joint Strike Fighter advanced acquisition contract (N00019-14-C-0002),” the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday.  

Work will be performed in Baltimore, Maryland and Nagoya, Japan, and is expected to be completed in October 2018.  

Foreign military sales funds in the amount of $6,812,978 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, the statement added.
