Turkey's Locally-made Attack Drone Passes Test

Turkey has successfully tested a locally made Bayraktar TB2 drone with MAM-L smart ammunition systems Sunday.

Bayraktar drone were able to hit targets 8 kilometers away, Istanbul-based Baykar Makina officials were quoted as saying by Anadolu agency Sunday.

The drones have completed 20000 hours of flight so far with Turkish Armed Forces, the gendarmerie and the police since 2014 and can fly up to 27 hours, the agency reported.

The drone and its electronic, software, aerodynamic design and sub-systems have been developed and produced by Turkey.

MAM-L smart ammunition systems have been developed by Turkey’s missile-maker Roketsan.
