The Pentagon has awarded a $250 million contract to Summit Technologies to expand mission combat planning process for Air Force military airlift capabilities, the Defense Department said in a press release Friday.

"Summit Technologies [in] Winter Park, Florida has been awarded a $250 million… contract for the Mission Planning Support Contract III," the release stated on Friday.

The contract provides continued support of mission planning systems and the entire mission combat planning process, including detailed planning for aircraft and weapon platforms, the Defense Department explained.

The majority of the work will be performed at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, and other worldwide locations, and is expected to be completed by January 2024, the release added.
