CFM Wins $47 Million Contract To Provide Three Engines For US Navy's P-8 Poseidon Aircraft
CFM56-7B Engine

CFM International has won a $47 million contract for the procurement of one CFM56-7B24EG04 engine for the C-40A aircraft and three CFM56-7B27AE engines for the P-8 Poseidon aircraft.

Work is expected to be completed in September 2018, US Department fo Defense said in a statement Tuesday.

CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Safran Aircraft Engines and General Electric, develops, produces and markets CFM56 engines. CFM powers the Boeing 737 military versions : Airborne Early Warning & Control, C-40 Clipper transport and P-8 Poseidon Maritime Aircraft.
