Iran's 2000 Km Ballistic Missile Incapable of Carrying Nuclear Warhead

Iran's latest ballistic missile, the 2000 Km range 'Khorramshahr' is incapable of carrying a nuclear warhead and thus does not breach the 2015 nuclear agreement with the US and other world powers that ended Iran's international isolation.

Giving details of the missile, Commander of the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said the missile can carry multiple warhead equipped with conventional explosives.

The projectile is 13 meters in length and its nosecone weighs 1,800 kilograms, he said, adding that it can engage multiple targets.

Tehran needs no one’s permission to improve its defensive power including its missile program. The program does not breach its 2015 nuclear deal with world countries as the projectiles are not capable of carrying nuclear warheads, Hajizadeh was quoted as saying by PressTV.
