Israel Aerospace Industries Awarded a $20 Million Contract for a Joint Training Capability System

The MLM Division of the Systems Missiles and Space Group of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has been awarded a contract exceeds $20 million from a foreign customer for an innovative Joint Training Capability (JTC).>> The new capability applies a Network-Centric Training Approach providing comprehensive live training scenarios for both fixed and rotary wing and ground forces.>> MLM is known for its part in the "Arrow" Anti-Tactical Ballistic Missile (ATBM) Defense System and Ehud System, a world-leading Air-Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) System.>> IAIs MLM Division is the prime contractor for this project with Inter-Coastal Electronics, its American partner and major sub-contractor.>> The JTC is designed to integrate five different training systems the Helicopter Training & Safety System (HTS), the Ehud ACMI System, Air Defense Training System (ADTS), ground forces Combat Training Center (CTC), and attack helicopter Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS).>> The real-time training package includes advanced simulation for various munitions such as Air-Ground and Ground-Air, in addition to the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES)/Tactical Engagement Systems so as to be interoperable during training.> The system allows the user to conduct real-time monitoring, control the exercise, and to debrief the forces once the training is over.>> Itzhak Nissan, IAI's President and CEO commented: "We are honored to have been awarded this JTC contract.
