US Navy Awards $50 Million worth Contract For Sensor Fusion Technology Research Efforts

The US Navy awarded almost $50 million worth contract to Pennsylvania-based TDI Technologies Inc.  to support research efforts of the auxiliary system sensor fusion technology, the Department of defense announced Wednesday.

“TDI Technologies Inc.,* King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is awarded a $49,995,999 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support the Phase III small business innovation research (SBIR) effort to support the advancement of the auxiliary system sensor fusion technology previously completed in SBIR phase I and phase II,” the statement says.

Work will be performed in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (80 percent); and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by June 2023.

Fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funding in the amount of $300,000 will be obligated at time of award via the first delivery order and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year, it added.
