Rosorobonexport To Display Naval Combined Air Defence System at IDEX 2019

Rosoboronexport will display their naval combined air defence system system, Pantsir-ME at IDEX 2019.

There will be a full-scale specimen on display in the middle of the combined Russian exposition organized by Rosoboronexport, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

The Pantsir-ME air-defence missile and artillery system can be set up on ships with water displacement of over 300 tons. The sea-based system can fire 160 projectiles per second (nearly 10,000 rounds per minute). It can track and shoot down four air targets at the same time including jets, bombers, UAVs, and missiles.

The system includes a multimode adaptive radio-optical control system. All the stages of operation are automated. The Combined use of the radio and optical control system provides for the all-weather and round-the-clock operability of the system.
