Russian State Corporation Rostec will present the latest models of Pantsir-ME, a shipborne air-defense missile and artillery system, as well as the 200 series of Kalashnikov assault rifles for the first time at the IDEX 2019 exhibition starting Sunday.

In addition to military products, IDEX will see Russia exhibit Aurus, the armored limousine being a part of the Cortege project, which Rostec holdings contributed to, the company said in a statement Thursday.

In particular, the air-defence missile and artillery system Pantsir-ME will make its international debut. It will be presented by High-Precision Complexes Holding. The system is able to protect ships from all types of air attack weapons, the company said.

Kalashnikov Concern will showcase the 200 series of Kalashnikov, certified for export for the first time.

Pansir-ME is the export version of Pantsir-M jamming-resistant naval close-in weapon system (CIWS). It can intercept sea skimming missiles flying as low as two meters above the surface. If a target isn't sufficiently destroyed by Pantsir's missile attack it can automatically direct its cannons against it. Pantsir-M's phased array radar, electro-optical/infrared targeting and identification system are based on that of Pantsir's 1RS2-1E.

According to Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov, Pantsir-M's destructive power is three to four times higher than Kashtan-M's. Pantsir-M will replace Kashtan-M systems in Russian Navy.
