HAL Delivers 3 ALH Dhruv Aircraft to Indian Army at Aero India 2019

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) delivered 3 Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv aircraft to the Indian Army at the Aero India 2019 airshow on Friday.

Indian Army placed an ordered for 40 Druv aircraft- 22 ALH Mk III and 18 Mk IV Rudra, with HAL in August of 2017. 19 of the 22 ALH Mk III helicopters have already been produced and will be progressively delivered.

ALH Dhruv is a multi-role, new generation helicopter in the 5.5-ton weight class, indigenously designed and developed by HAL. The aircraft is powered by two Shakti engines.

The basic helicopter is produced in skid version and wheeled version. In the wheeled version, options for fixed and retractable undercarriages are available.
