Boeing’s KC‐46A Pegasus aerial refuelling aircraft will make its international air show debut at the Paris Airshow 2019 scheduled to take place between 16-23 June, 2019.
The US Department of Defense will display several Boeing platforms other than the new KC-46 Pegasus, including the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, the CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter, the F-15 fighter, the P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, the company said in a statement Monday.
The KC-46 Pegasus is a military aerial refueling and strategic military transport aircraft developed by Boeing from its 767 jet airliner. The new KC-46 fleet will replace the US Air Force’s ageing fleet of Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers.
The Pentagon awarded Boeing a $5.7 billion post-production contract to prepare aircraft for combat capability in April this year. In May, the mid-air refueling tanker completed receiver certification testing with Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft.
