Boeing to Integrate Small Diameter Bomb Onto USAF’s Weapon System

Boeing has been awarded a $280 million contract for Small Diameter Bomb I (SDB) integration and engineering support for the fielded SDB I weapon system.

This contract provides for SDB weapon integration on selected weapon platforms and support of the fielded weapon system. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by September 2024, the Pentagon announced Thursday.

Boeing’s SDB is a precision-guided munition that enables aircraft to attack more targets in a single mission. The weapon is suitable for fighter aircraft, bombers and unmanned combat aircraft.
