UAE, Dutch Apache Gunships to be Equipped with Modern Target Acquisition Units

Boeing Ah-64 Apache gunships belonging to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Netherlands will get new Lockheed Martin-manufactured Modernized Target Acquisition and Designation Sights, Pilot Night Vision Systems (TADS/PNVS).

“Lockheed Martin was awarded $18.4 million Foreign Military Sales (Netherlands and United Arab Emirates) contract for Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight Pilot Night Vision Sensor Systems, subcomponent production, and technical services for the Apache attack helicopter,” the US Department of Defense said in a statement Thursday.

Work is estimated to be completed by August 31, 2021.
