BEL, GRSE to Customize Elbit’s Unmanned Surface Vessels for Indian Navy
India's Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Israeli firm Elbit Systems to develop and customize the latter's Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) for the Indian Navy.
The tripartite MoU was inked today during the ongoing DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow city, India.
"The MoU aims for the development and customisation of Elbit’s Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) for the requirements of the Indian Navy," BEL said in a statement.
