Warship Built by India's L&T Sails into Chilean Harbour

A Chilean Navy ship built by India’s Larsen and Toubro sailed into Valparaíso Harbour on Tuesday.

The $11.5 million contract for Janequeo specialized supply vessel was awarded to L&T in March 2020. The contract was announced by the Pentagon. Work was performed in Chennai, India.

Janequeo is a twin-screw Anchor Handling, Towing, Supply and Standby Vessel (AHTSSV) with hybrid propulsion and dynamic positioning system.
