Russian Electronic Warfare Systems Cannot Beat Bayraktar UAVs: Baykar

Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar that manufactures Bayaraktar TB2 drones has claimed that these aircraft cannot be defeated by Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems.

“Russian electronic warfare systems will not be able to interfere with the work of Bayraktar TB2 even for one hour. Turkish drones will always be able to stay in the air,” the top Baykar official said during an interview.

In December, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan criticised an anti-drone system, presumed to be the Repellent EW system, stating that “it simply did not work” against Turkish and Israeli drones. Earlier in October 2020, Russia’s Avia.pro wrote that Krasukha-4 EW system successfully deactivated control systems of nine Turkish drones to bring them down.
