U.S.A.F. C-17 Airlifter Catches Fire on Runway

A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport plane caught fire on the runway at the Joint Base Charleston Friday afternoon.

Citing a statement by Joint Base Charleston (JBC), Defence Blog reported that there were no injuries.

Posting a photograph, the service said yesterday that firefighters assigned to the 628th Civil Engineer Squadron were conducting a live-burn exercise March 30, 2021 at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The fire-protection specialists participate in this exercise every three months to renew their training readiness.
