The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has sued state-owned airplane manufacturer Irkut Corporation for 503.6 million rubles ($6.8 million).

Irkut manufactures Su-30 fighter jets, MC-21 commercial airlines and several other airplanes. It is part of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

The claim was filed with the Moscow Arbitration Court on May 14. The reason behind the MoD’s slapping of the lawsuit is unknown.

In February, the MoD sued Tupolev for not building a new missile to arm its “deeply modernized” Tu-160 M bomber on time.
