Fires Erupt in Syria’s Latakia Port following Alleged Israel Air Strike
Fire breaks out at Syrian port of Latakia @Syria state media

Israeli warplanes reportedly fired several missiles at Syrian port of Latakia early on Tuesday, setting off fires in the container storage area.

This attack is the second to target the port in December. The Syrian defense ministry said the Israeli “aggression” caused big materialistic damages. As per Syrian media, the attack left facades of a hospital, some residential buildings and shops damaged.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) did not comment on the Syrian claims.

Videos posted to social media showed huge explosions and fires raging across the port, some of them apparently caused by secondary blasts from the missiles causing Iranian munitions to detonate.
