Jordan to Buy 16 F-16C/D Block 70 Jets Worth $4.21B
F-16 Fighting Falcon @U.S.A.F.

The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of more than a dozen F-16 C/D fighters and related equipment to Jordan for an estimated cost of $4.21 billion.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) today.

The contract covers delivery of 12 F-16 C Block 70 and 4 F-16D Block 70 jets along with related equipment, as well as hundreds of various Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) tail kits to upgrade its munitions.

The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin, Greenville, South Carolina.
