The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the destruction of a U.S.-made radar battery on Monday.
"The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed two command posts and a Ukrainian battery of Grad multiple launch rocket systems, as well as a U.S.-made counter-battery radar," Major General Igor Konashenkov, Russian MoD spokesman, told reporters today.
According to him, the command posts and the Ukrainian battery were destroyed by high-precision missiles in the area of the Popasnaya settlement.
He added that the American-made counter-battery radar station was destroyed in the Zolote region, and 18 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment were destroyed in the Lisichansk region.
Konashenkov further claimed that Russian troops destroyed Ukrainian helicopters in the Odessa region with Onyx high-precision missiles launched from the Bastion coastal missile system.
"During the night, Russian air defense systems shot down three aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force: two MiG-29s in the Iverskoye and Novodonetskoye regions of the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as one Su-25 in the Pogonovka region of the Kharkiv region," he added.
According to Konashenkov, three Ukrainian UAVs, including two Bayraktar TB2s, were destroyed near Zmeiny Island.
The general also said that 12 Ukrainian drones were shot down in the air in the areas of the settlements of Balakliya, Shiykovka, Goptovka, Tsupovka, Small and Large Passages of the Kharkiv region, Kamenka of the Cherkasy region, Bryanka and Avdiivka of the Donetsk People's Republic, Pavlovka of the Luhansk People's Republic. In the areas of the settlements of Izyum and Snezhkovka, three Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) rockets were intercepted.
According to him, since the beginning of the special military operation, 160 aircraft, 118 helicopters, 783 unmanned aerial vehicles, 299 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,949 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 342 multiple rocket launchers, 1,423 field artillery guns and mortars have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation. , as well as 2,769 units of special military vehicles of the Ukrainian army.
