Russia’s Army-2022 international event will see the participation of around 50 defense ministry officials and 1,500 companies.
The event will be held from August 15-21 at the Patriot Expo (Moscow region), Kubinka Air Base and Alabino Military Training Grounds.
Russian defense minister Sergey Shoigu said the event will see the conclusion of 36 state contracts worth 522 billion rubles ($8.66 billion) combined. He said there will be 289 scientific and business events, which is almost twice as many as last year.
Shoigu has also confirmed the participation of about 50 foreign defense ministries. About 1,500 companies (local and foreign) will be exhibiting their military equipment, he added.
Products of research into artificial intelligence (AI), as well as electronic and information technologies will be on display. Shoigu further revealed that visitors will, for the first time, be able to see armed remotely controlled modules.
