Boeing Wins $3.15B to Produce KC-46A Aircraft for U.S.A.F., Israel

Boeing has won two contracts worth nearly $3.15 billion combined to manufacture KC-46A military aerial refueling and strategic military transport aircraft for the U.S. Air Force and Israel.

Confirming the development, the Pentagon said it awarded the company $2.2 billion to deliver 15 KC-46A aircraft, data, subscriptions and licenses being produced under the basic contract. Work is expected to be completed by November 30, 2025.

Another contract worth around $930 million was awarded to Boeing to manufacture four KC-46A aircraft for Israel. This contract is also issued for the non-recurring engineering design and test for the Remote Vision System 2.0 and the Air Refueling Operator Station 2.0 mission equipment and installation, pre-delivery integrated logistics support, and technical publications. Work is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026. The tanker planes will replace obsolete Israel Air Force 707’s that serve as converted aerial refueling aircraft.
