Russian Defense Exports at $6B in Last Six Months: Putin

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin claims the country has exported weapons worth more than $6 billion in the last six months.

Putin has praised the performance of Russian defense industry in the world market. He also pointed out the need to increase production volumes and time.

“It is necessary to increase production capabilities in the shortest possible time, maximize equipment utilization, optimize technological cycles and, without compromising quality, reduce production time,” the head of state said at a meeting with heads of enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Kremlin.

Russian defense industry enterprises are working in a “tense and intensive mode” he said.
