Northrop to Develop U.S. Navy’s E-XX TACAMO Aircraft

Northrop Grumman will team up with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Raytheon Intelligence & Space, Crescent Systems, and Long Wave Inc. to develop a new plane to replace the U.S. Navy’s E-6B aircraft requirement.

The new E-XX TACAMO aircraft will be based on the C-130J platform, and provides connectivity between the National Command Authority and ballistic submarines capable of delivering nuclear weapons.
