Belarus will produce some 1350 componets and parts for Russian MC-21, Il-76 Il-78 and Tu-204 commercial airliners.
The aviation enterprises of Belarus are actively increasing the portfolio of Russian orders, according to the Belarusian ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy said Saturday on the Belarus 1 state television channel.
He said that the models of Russian aircraft have already been determined, on which active work is now underway.
"This is MC-21 - about 1,350 products and components were proposed by Russian colleagues for production in Belarus. With respect to Il-76 and Il-78 aircraft of various modifications, a portfolio of orders for Belarusian enterprises has been formed for more than 2.1 thousand products.
For the Tu-204 - about 700 products have been identified that the Belarusian side is ready to replace imports and for which the Russian colleagues have, in fact, already certified and checked the relevant enterprises, giving their consent to production and further putting into the final production in Russia," said Krutoy.
Su-25 jet assembly
Belarus intends to organize the final assembly of Russian Su-25 attack aircraft on the territory of the republic, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy said on Sunday on the Belarus 1 state television channel.
"Today, the Su-25 is being worked out. The relevant documentation is now being studied and transferred by the Russian side. But the Prime Minister even sets a tougher task: from assembling aircraft engines - and going to the final assembly of aircraft. This, of course, is a super task, a maximum task," - said the diplomat.
He said that in order to study this issue, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov "with the appropriate team" will visit Belarus in the near future. “I think this topic will be discussed at the government level. This will be a real breakthrough. And Belarus will move to a completely different level in the aircraft industry in the coming years,” Krutoy added.
