Rafael Introduces AI-enabled Puzzle Intelligence System

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., will announce Puzzle, an intelligence knowledge management system that combines various intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

Puzzle represents a paradigm shift in situational analysis and the Sensor to Shooter circuit, enabling efficiency, speed, and precision.

The Puzzle system will be officially presented at the prestigious Paris Air Show. Puzzle integrates information from diverse sensor sources, including Visents (visual data such as photos, satellite imagery, and videos) and Signatures (signals intelligence – communication/electronic), creating a comprehensive and filtered dataset through advanced AI and machine learning algorithms. The system’s ability to process and analyze information empowers military decision-makers, shortening operational timelines and optimizing the effectiveness of military operations.

In recent years, armed forces worldwide have invested heavily in advanced sensor technologies to enhance their intelligence gathering capabilities. However, the growing volume of information obtained from these sensors often exceeds the capacity for timely analysis and utilization. Notably, a significant portion of the data remains unexamined, resulting in suboptimal target production and, at times, wasteful deployment of expensive armaments.

The Puzzle system addresses these challenges by leveraging AI algorithms to enable human analysts to handle vast amounts of information rapidly. By separating crucial data from extraneous details, Puzzle facilitates targeted extraction of relevant intelligence, effectively sifting through mountains of big data. Whether deployed in stationary command and intelligence centers or mobile field headquarters, Puzzle interfaces with existing command and control systems, operating both during routine activities and in times of crisis, operational activity, or warfare. Its significance lies in its ability to understand the necessary targets while meeting demanding schedules, effectively bridging the gap in the sensor to shooter circuit.

Key components of the Puzzle system include:

IMILITE: A multi-sensory, multi-sensor intelligence system capable of receiving, processing, and distributing information from various intelligence platforms. Utilizing advanced image processing algorithms, IMILITE provides security forces worldwide with a leading-edge solution for today’s intelligence gathering, processing, and distribution needs.

SIGNAL: An AI-based signal intelligence system that transforms communication and electronic intelligence detections into actionable insights, facilitating faster and more accurate decision-making by reducing analyst workload.

TARGETS: Empowers commanders with operational language and decision-making capabilities to achieve their objectives. This component utilizes sophisticated search and extraction mechanisms to present relevant attack targets according to specified criteria, including timetables and desired outcomes, while integrating information from diverse sources.

FORCE: Enables the construction of attack plans by effectively aligning targets with effectors, such as missiles, for multiple missions. FORCE enhances cumulative effects on the enemy through efficient timing and dynamic intelligence-influenced planning, maximizing the impact on high-priority targets and reallocating resources as needed. The system optimizes decision-making, allowing human planners to focus on the core essence of the attack and increase effects within compressed timeframes.
