MD Helicopters to Commence Delivery of Scout/Attack Choppers to Nigeria by End-2023

MD Helicopters is gearing up to deliver the initial batch of 12 MD 530F Cayuse Warrior Plus Scout/Attack helicopters to Nigeria, with shipments expected to commence in Q4 2023.

The Nigerian Army Aviation will operate these helicopters to address security challenges in the country. This acquisition is part of the Federal Government of Nigeria's efforts to strengthen the capacity of the Nigerian Army Aviation for constitutional responsibilities in a joint environment.

The Cayuse Warrior Plus offers mission enhancements, including improved weapons systems, avionics, armor, and power performance, building on the MD 530F design. The package also includes an ILS package, spares, pilot and maintainer training, and a simulator.
